Case Study: Shriver's Fudge and Salt Water Taffy Shop

The Client

Breaking into ecommerce is tough on its own let alone trying to launch during a pandemic!


One of the oldest businesses on the Ocean City boardwalk, Shrivers Salt Water Taffy and Fudge shop served quality candies since 1898. It's ocean-inspired sweets are legen- wait for it -dary!


When the pandemic hit in 2020, this family favorite shop did what any small business would do, and quickly pivoted to online sales. 


There's no doubt Shriver's offers high quality candies. It's cult-like following would say Shrivers is an absolute must-stop when visiting Ocean City beach! The trick is getting folks to order online when they aren't vacationing in Ocean City. 


The Challenge: Reminding new and existing customers that Shrivers candy is available year round by ordering online. 

The Strategy

We use Meta Conversion campaigns to increase online revenue by:

  • Showcasing Shriver's irresistible fudge and taffy through a variety of mediums like video, animation, and static images. 
  • A/B testing copy variations that become a magnet for Shriver's ideal customer.  
  • Honing in on an audience that are most likely to buy. 
  • Developing tailored tactics around region and seasonality. 
  • Recommend effective incentives by identifying what customers' value.


These campaigns see continued growth year over year because of data driven decisions!
